It's My Fault!
Our expedition this semester is called "It's my Fault!" We will be studying how the earth is effected by weathering, erosion, earthquakes and volcanoes.
Craters of the Moon
As part of our expedition we get to go on an overnight camping trip to Craters of the Moon! This is a national monument and preserve near Arco, Idaho. I thought I would provide some general information about the trip. Our class will be going on September 27. We plan on leaving the school right at 7:30 am that day so please be prompt that day. We will provide all student tents. 4 -5 students will sleep per tent. We will make student tent assignments. We do not have sufficient space at our campsites to accommodate individual tents. We can also provide tents for parents if they would like, you are welcome to bring your own. Parents may sleep in a tent with their student, but not with other students.
Students will need to either have their own lunch or have requested a school lunch for the first day. After that, we will provide all meals and snacks. The teachers have asked about specific allergies, but please make sure these are known before we go. Please do not send additional food or snacks. It just creates messes and problems. We will be returning to school at approximately 4:00 pm on September 28. It may be cold, keep that in mind when packing.
